Time Out says

In conjunction with the Remember the Triangle Fire Coalition, which is marking the disaster's 100th anniversary with events around the city, Merchant's House Museum will take you back to a time before sewing machines, when most clothes were manufactured by hand. This lecture-exhibition demonstrates some of the now-obsolete sewing techniques that kept 19th-century Americans dressed and fashionable.
