An interactive exhibit in the kitchen of the Mount Vernon Hotel Museum, one of Manhattan’s oldest buildings, explores the way ice cream was made in the 18th and 19th centuries, and treats you to little-known facts about everyone’s favorite frozen dessert. (Fun fact: The first ice-cream parlor in the United States opened in 1776!)
