Beckett's Bar & Grill

Situated in the heart of the Financial District Beckett's remains a favorite throughout the ups and downs of the past years. For over fifteen years we have catered to the growing residential and business community and look forward to serving them for many years to come. This casual restaurant offers a variety of pub grub. Our Chef Daniel Culhane has created a wonderful range of American Cuisine to suit all palates, at a reasonable price. From April 1st to the end of November we have outdoor dining - This unique and relaxed atmosphere resembles that of a European city sidewalk, yet, is a mere stone throw from Wall Street.

It's a cheap-ish option in a central location, but there's not a whole lot that makes this place memorable. (It took me about 15 minutes to remember the restaurant name.)  My burger was well-cooked and I liked that they offered my favorite cocktail, but it was hard to flag down our server for anything and we didn't understand why the spacious, quiet second floor with functioning bathrooms was closed off.  Beckett's will do in a pinch, but it's not worth a special trip to go there.

I don't like to bash, but I honestly don't understand how this place still stands on stone street. The food is some of the worst I have EVER had in my life (seriously, do not order the fish and chips...i couldn't get two bites down).

As a bar itself, it also fails - every single time I go they have some sort of issue with their taps and only have a couple of beers on draft available. If your food is going to suck, you should at least be on top of your beer game. What else is the point? With so many bar options in the street, it is pointless.

Skip it - go to Ulysses or The Growler instead!
