A hundred nude models will converge on Dag Hammarskjold Plaza near the United Nations this Saturday to have their bodies covered in what one can only hope is high-SPF paint.

The third-annual NYC Bodypainting Day will feature 100 artists bringing their intricate creations to life from 12pm to 4pm. Anyone can head to the plaza to watch the process and there will be risers this year for spectators to stand on.

What’s the point, you ask? “For the greater good. To promote human connection through art. To share the unique voice of the artist with the public. To accept each other and ourselves in all of our various shapes and sizes.”

It also looks really cool.

The theme for this year’s event is “Inner Beauty” and will be encouraging artists to draw inspiration from their model’s energy and character as they create their art.

Once the looks are completed at 4pm, the colorful, nude models will board a double-decker bus and take the show on the road, revealing their brand-new birthday suits to the city.
