A giant Harry Potter festival is coming to New Jersey next month

As much as we'd like to believe that the most magical among us live in NYC, it seems that there are some witches and wizards at large in New Jersey, and—Salazar Slytherin's Ghost!—in Long Island, too.

PotterCon—which brought thousands of fans to Irving Plaza last August—hits the Tri-State Area on June 10 at the Asbury Park Convention Hall in New Jersey, and the Paramount in Long Island on June 11. Like Harry, Hermoine and Ron wandering through the woods in The Deathly Hallows, it seems that NYC-based sorcerers will have to venture into unknown territory for this round of adult fan celebration.

The +21 convention features Wizard's Chess, Live Sorting (hosted last year by comedian Alise Morales), Quidditch, costume contests and lots and lots of day drinking. If you're looking to live out your Rita Skeeter/Hermoine Granger make-out fantasies, it's likely to go down here.

Tickets are shockingly still available, and only $15. Buy them now—Ticketmaster doesn't do time-turners.
