Each week, we take two New Yorkers who swear they're totally undateable, and put our matchmaking skills to the test. Afterward, we find out what went well on their date, and what went horribly, horribly wrong.

Why they're single:
Brittany: She’s picky, and no one in New York wants to commit.
Mark: He’s very picky and loses interest fast.

Ideal date:
Brittany: Drinks, dinner and dancing
Mark: Dinner, drinks and sex after

THE DATE

First impression
Brittany: “He was 30 minutes late, so the first thing I told him was, ‘You’re definitely undateable.’ I was already on my third drink. He definitely wasn’t my type at all.”
Mark: “I thought she was one of those basic girls. She said, ‘You’re really late,’ and I said a joke to get things going. She’s only been here five months from Alabama.”

Chemistry
Brittany: “[You could wander around and see performers, but] we just enjoyed the scenery and had drinks. He told me he’s an artist, he has a kid, and he’s way older than me.”
Mark: “I did end up making out with her a for a little bit in the cemetery under the moonlight. She was wearing a really short skirt. She was definitely cute.”

Awkward Moment
Brittany: “I actually told him that I hated smoking, and he is a smoker, so he had to take a little break to go smoke and it was awkward.”
Mark: “She said it was hard for her to find guys who didn’t want just hookups. And I told her I’m kind of one of those guys. She laughed and said, ‘At least you’re honest.’”

Afterward
Brittany: “I left to see a friend, and he stayed with some girls we met. He texted me at 4:30 in the morning asking to come over with alcohol, but I didn’t text back.”
Mark: “We got lost, and she was drunk. She started yelling, ‘This is bullshit, get me out of here.’ We went to Empanada Mama and exchanged information before she left.”

Verdict
Brittany: ♥♥♥ “I had a good time, and our personalities matched very well, but I was definitely turned off that he smokes and has a kid. But it’s a cute kid!”
Mark: ♥♥♥♥ “It was really entertaining. She was easy to talk to, and I made her laugh. I would probably hang out with her again—maybe for a late-night booty call.”

Our daters went to Green-Wood Cemetery's Into the Veil (500 25th St, Brooklyn, 718-210-3080)
