Okay, it’s not just any cat, we’re talking about Lil BUB here. Yes, that's the painfully cute bobble head come to life with her bulging green eyes and permanently wagging tongue that sticks out like she’s incredibly thirsty or looking at a mighty tasty burger, all while casually destroying the boundaries of what is cute.
RECOMMENDED: "The Story of Lil BUB"
She’s in town right meow for her last East Coast appearance (for how long, who knows, but it sounds dramatic!) on Saturday, January 30, when she’ll be hosting a meet-and-greet with her “dude,” Mike Bridavsky, at the Museum of the Moving Image.
Instead of waiting in line with thousands of others—which is what normally happens when this adorable perma-kitten is visiting (really, due to an abnormality, she’s kitten-sized forever, a Tom Thumb of cats!)—you can pay out a Benjamin, and you get to join a limited number of fellow Lil BUB obsessives and pet her (and have a peek at her 22 toes, for reals), take a pic with her, plus get “an exclusive, limited edition, signed and personalized Lil BUB art print” (does that mean there’s a paw print?), AND a signed 12" x 12" Lil BUB photo print that you can put on your fridge. You also get a ticket to The Story of Lil BUB, a presentation and Q&A with Lil BUB (which is $25, so actually, you’re paying $75 to pet a cat if you want to be specific).
But the best news: 100 percent of the proceeds go to Lil BUB's Big FUND for the ASPCA, which is the first national fund for special needs pets. So, guilt assuaged about paying $100 to pet a cat, right?
