The new Twin Peaks teaser is as ominous and weird as you'd expect

Showtime just debuted a teaser for the eagerly-anticipated re-boot of Twin Peaks and it's heavy on atmosphere, light on specifics.

A man states: "Locations sometimes become a character. There's a lot of holy places up here, a lot of sacred spaces. I can't put my finger on how I'd describe it. It just touches something in the psyche. It's almost like being in a moving painting." The speech is accompanied by shots of waterfalls, trees and more.

Towards the end of the teaser, things take on a definite Lynchian tone.
