The holidays are always a stressful time, but one new site is helping you take the guesswork out of one thing that many New Yorkers spend some time fretting on: The amount to tip your building’s doorman for the year.

TripleMint Real Estate surveyed over 100 doormen at buildings across Manhattan to create the Holiday Tip-O-Meter. Just enter whether you own or rent your unit, the size of your apartment, how long you have lived in the building, how many units it has, the amount you use your building’s staff and your general tipping habits to get the recommended range for your tip.

Obviously, this is just a suggested amount. You should also take into account whether you tip frequently during the year, if you rely on the staff for day-to-day needs and whether or not you live in a penthouse with a pool full of money. Because in that case, now is not the time to be stingy. They definitely know about your money tub.
