Gotham: Writers in the City: Catherine Chung

Forgotten Country is the debut novel from Chung, a writer that lit journal Granta named as one of its “New Voices” in 2010. The book deals with the Korean-American immigrant experience and the dynamic that emerges in a family transplanted far from home. When her little sister disappears, Chung’s protagonist, Janie, goes back to Korea to look for her.
