Experiments in Opera

This increasingly ambitious, next-generation opera collective kicks off a two-night festival dubbed Story Binge, which features dramatic pieces by performers you might have seen in recent works by Robert Ashley and Anthony Braxton. The Apr 1 set includes dramatic pieces by Sam Hillmer, Nick Hallett and Matthew Welch. The Apr 2 gig puts a lens on recent efforts by Gelsey Bell, Jason Cady, Aaron Siegel and Roddy Bottum.
