From 1991 to 2001, Adrian "Stretch Armstrong" Bartos and Robert "Bobbito" Garcia hosted The Stretch Armstrong & Bobbito Show on Columbia University's WKCR. Sounds simple, but the program became one of the pivots around which the NYC hip-hop scene revolved, with rappers and beatsmiths both unknown and top-tier regularly making pilgrimages to the studios, and hip-hop fans religiously taping the airings. Tonight sees the pair hitting the decks to mark the 20th anniversary of the influential program's birth, with Lord Sear and a ton of surprise guests rolling through.
