The Drunken Mermaid Gala

Subtitling it "A Post–Mermaid Parade Indulgence," the folks behind this affair—including Voluption's Sara Valentine—ask you to leave the shores of Coney Island, hop on the F train and head to the banks of the Gowanus for this phantasmagoric shindig. A mermaid promenade (with prizes for audience-favorite costumes), a pig roast, DJ Steve Pagan, and performances from Flying Teeth, Vic Thrill, Donkee and Extra Action Marching Band are all part of the deal.
