Choreographer and dancer Adam H. Weinert presents the third phase of a project that began when he performed a selection of Ted Shawn solos at the Museum of Modern Art last fall as part of Boris Charmatz's 20 Dancers for the XX Century. In the second phase, "The Reaccession of Ted Shawn," which is ongoing, viewers can watch Weinert perform the solos and see archival footage of Shawn via smartphones and iPads at the museum with the help of augmented-reality technology. In Without Consent, Weinert allows spectators to produce their own dances, which will be seen on selected trigger points—photographs, drawings and paintings—throughout the museum.
