Compared with its successor, the delirious (and underrated) Babe: Pig in the City, this good-natured fable about a plucky pig seems absolutely quaint. It’s certainly among the best kiddie flicks of the ’90s, even if it did saddle us with a slew of regrettable computerized talking-animal movies.
