There's one film each by the silent-film master's competition: Thomas Ince is represented by Custer's Last Fight (1912), about the massacre at Little Big Horn. And the Cecil B. DeMille entry is The Cheat (1915), with Japanese actor Sessue Hayakawa controversially wooing the white ladies. Ben Model will, per usual, provide live musical accompaniment.
