Sherie Rene Scott has a knot of fanatical worshippers, but chances are you'll remain unconverted after Everyday Rapture, the Broadway diva's sweet but lightweight comical navel-gaze. The self-described “half-Mennonite” and survivor of Bible Belt provincialism is perfectly enjoyable for 90 minutes of tunes and droll monologues, but she doesn't send every spectator levitating heavenward. Scott is lovely, talented, funny and deserves a show each season, but this mystical, comical trifle is strictly for the choir.—David Cote
