Film Society presents a Ray Bradbury twofer. Fahrenheit 451 (1966) is François Truffaut’s only English-language film, and it's a rather blah adaptation of Bradbury’s science-fiction novel about a mechanized future in which all books are banned. Bradbury himself scripted Something Wicked (1982), a filmed take on his classic carny horror novel. But despite the spirited efforts of Jason Robards, Jonathan Pryce (as Mr. Dark) and Diane Ladd, it all feels a bit Disneyfied.
