The Iranian director responsible for 2009's The White Meadows returns with a drama about a female lawyer trying to acquire a travel visa after her husband is detained for "political subversion." Its persistent sense of persecution and paranoia is all the more apt, considering Rasoulof was put under house arrest and banned from filmmaking shortly after the movie's completion.
