Memo to young travelers: Do not try to smuggle heroin out of Turkey, because if you get caught, you’ll be thrown in a hell-hole penitentiary. Also, you’ll be forced to do horrible, degrading things like bite out another prisoner’s tongue (though according to the film, a homosexual relationship is out of the question). Still, it could be worse. You could be in an Alan Parker movie.
