Eataly's reputation as an Italian-food mecca gets a boost when six of Italy's most noteworthy chefs—including three-Michelin-starred toques Massimo Bottura (Modena's Osteria Francescana) and Carlo Cracco (Milan’s Ristorante Cracco)—touch down for this fourth annual food fest. The overseas guests will team with local stars like Mario Batali and Daniel Boulud for a weekend of world-class dining and demonstrations, tackling essential Italian ingredients: Batali and Davide Scabin (Combal.Zero) will work with pasta on Friday, Oct 4, and Boulud and Bottura will deal in egg the following afternoon ($125 each). Capping off the Friday and Saturday festivities, Batali and Lidia Bastianich will orchestrate alfresco dinners at La Birreria: On Saturday, Viviana Varese of Milan's Ristorante Alice will cook crispy beer-cooked beef with cauliflower, pickles and herbs ($200).
