A Tonic Reunion: Mephista with John Zorn + Steven Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra

Five years after beloved Lower East Side nightspot Tonic closed its doors for good, co-owner Melissa Caruso-Scott springs back into action for a few commemorative shows (including one to start the Undead Jazzfest on Wed 9). This evening's features Tonic mainstay Steven Bernstein and his subversive swing orchestra, but we're even more intrigued by the notion of John Zorn fronting superbly balanced improv trio Mephista.
