A Tribute to Hazel Dickens

Time Out says

The bluegrass musician Hazel Dickens died in April, though such was the anachronistic draw of her voice that onstage it seemed as if she had dropped in from 1894. Yet Dickens was a modern creature: a political advocate, distinctly feminine bluegrass artist, and presence on folk-revival stages and film. Tonight she receives an NYC memorial, including performances by Tony Trischka, Mary Olive Smith, Danny Weiss and Barry Mitterhoff.
