Benjy Davis Project + Cara Salimando

The Benjy Davis Project came together in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 2001, and tonight the sextet plugs its fourth album, Lost Souls Like Us, a sheeny, emotionally charged slice of country pop. In support, 17-year-old New Jersey singer-songwriter Cara Salimando cites Regina Spektor and Kate Nash as influences; her poppy, piano-driven fare isn't as half as annoying as you'd think it would be.
