Boston Symphony Orchestra

Conductor Roberto Abbado and superstar violinist Joshua Bell step in at the 11th hour to replace the ailing James Levine and pianist Maurizio Pollini. The curious program pairing of Mozart and Schoenberg was also switched out in favor of a more classic trio of works: Haydn's Symphony No. 93, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony.
