Eli "Paperboy" Reed and Dig Deeper's DJ Honky and Mr. Robinson, along with Jennie Wasserman and J.B. Flatt, proudly present the second annual Brooklyn Soul Festival at the Bell House. (And their pride is justifiable—the first edition was a total success.) Once again, the two-day event features a slew of great R&B, funk and soul figures from the genres' past who deserve to be heard by anyone into great voices and tunes. Today's edition features Barbara Lynn ("The Queen of Gulf Coast Soul Blues"), Northern Soul fave Vernon Garrett (making his long-overdue NYC debut), Philly soul great Don Gardner and Reed, backed by his True Loves combo. Top local and international soul DJs spin the pre- and postset tunes.
