Creative Music for Three Bass Saxophones with Scott Robinson

Versatile multi-instrumentalist Scott Robinson covers more territory than just about any other jazzman we’ve ever encountered: He’s a master of swing to bop and on to the outer fringes, played on pretty much any implement into which one could conceivably blow. Tonight’s show features a trio of one of Robinson’s favorite horns—the bass sax—wielded by the leader, along with JD Parran and Vinny Golia. Percussion master Warren Smith rounds out the unusual quartet.
