Regarded in some circles as a self-caricature, Glenn Danzig also happens to be one of the great songwriters of his generation. (Revisit the Misfits' catalog and tell us we're wrong.) His work during the past decade or so has had its ups and downs, but we're happy to report that the new Danzig album, Deth Red Sabaoth, is a sturdy effort, dotted with a handful of tracks—"Hammer of the Gods," "Deth Red Moon," etc.—that sound like future classics to us. Also on tonight's bill are Gorgeous Frankenstein, led by former Misfits axman Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, and Seventh Void, containing two former Type O Negative bandmates of the late, great Peter Steele.
