Detroit Cobras made their rock & roll name by issuing albums containing nothing but rocked-up covers of soul classics, and as their collection ran deep, the Cobras' records were usually fun affairs. Strangely, singer Rachel Nagy & Co. have developed a bad habit of turning out lackluster performances onstage. Tonight the band joins Nashville's Heavy Cream, a mostly female outfit that plays scuzzy, rollicking garage rock.
