(It must be the group's short, catchy and ultralistenable guitar jams about just-out-of-college subjects like girls, getting evicted, partying and TV.) Before Darlings are young Australians the Grates, with a vocals-guitar-drums format that mirrors Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and arty Brooklyn trio Dinosaur Feathers, which nods to Animal Collective and Dirty Projectors.
