Dr. L. Subramaniam + The Alaev Family

Lincoln Center Out of Doors. Indian violinist L. Subramaniam, a virtuoso steeped in the Carnatic classical style as well as an intrepid explorer known for his groundbreaking work with artists like Herbie Hancock, Jean-Luc Ponty and Jean-Pierre Rampal, hits the plaza with his Global Fusion project. The band includes his wife, Bollywood playback singer Kavita Krishnamurthi Subramaniam, and son, violinist Ambi Subramaniam, plus jazz-fusion guitarist Larry Coryell and harmonica maverick Corky Siegel. Uzbek ensemble the Alaev Family makes its U.S. debut in support.
