Ergo + Alec K. Redfearn and the Eyesores

Ergo's trombonist Brett Sroka, keyboardist Carl Maguire and drummer Shawn Baltazor are all part of a generation for which Autechre and Sigur Rós are as pressing a concern as Armstrong and Sun Ra. That's certainly evident in the spacey contours and slinky grooves heard on the trio's latest Cuneiform release, multitude, solitude. Ergo plays at 10pm, following a set by Providence, RI's gently madcap Eyesores.
