Fanfarlo + Double Ghost

Fanfarlo, the sunny, breezy breakout band of CMJ 2009, returns to NYC in the wake of another CMJ, heralding the February 2012 release of its album Rooms Filled with Light. To judge by two tracks already released, "Replicate" and "Reconstruction" (as well as "Deconstruction," a 15-minute elaboration on the latter cut), the London group retains its appeal while also showing a beguiling new depth.
