In town to play in a covetable opening slot for Hot Chip, Portland's Chromatics—led by the ever-cool Johnny Jewel—present noirish electropop off their recent album, Kill for Love. If you saw last year's thriller Drive, you'll recognize the combo's moody track "Tick of the Clock"—a good representation of the Euro-synth material this group excels at. Fixed's JDH and Dave P, along with the Dog & Pony Show's Paul Raffaele, contribute DJ sets.
