Gamelan Dharma Swara

Based at the Indonesian Consulate in Manhattan, Gamelan Dharma Swara maintains Balinese traditions that date back centuries while also playing contemporary works, some of them composed for an innovative new seven-note scale. Tonight the group schleps nearly 1,200 pounds of bronze down to LPR to perform “Geregel,” a new work by Balinese composer Dewa Ketut Alit.
