Northside Festival. Grooms (formerly Muggabears) may have changed its name, but the local trio's M.O. remains intact: It still churns out tense, noisy art punk in a Sonic Youth vein. Meanwhile, locals Darlings are stepping into their name, becoming something of an It band on the scene. It must be the band's short, catchy and ultralistenable guitar jams about just-out-of-college subjects like girls, getting evicted, partying and TV. Scruffy duo Sisters is also on tonight.
