Local trio Heavy Hands plies hypnotic psych-rock grooves, which immediately bring to mind ’70s icons such as bell bottoms and bongs. Also on the bill is Golden Animals, a contrived California retro-rock duo that sounds like CCR covering the Doors, and looks like Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom aping the White Stripes, but with none of those positive connotations.
