Herculaneum + Tomas Fujiwara

Led by drummer-composer Dylan Ryan, Chicago's Herculaneum combines two strains of its hometown's contemporary avant-garde: chamberish post-rock in the vein of Tortoise, and funkier, livelier material reminiscent of the Vandermark 5's edgy contemporary jazz. Also on the bill is the highly refined and sensitive progressive-jazz drummer Tomas Fujiwara.
