Iceage + Hoax + Hank Wood and the Hammerheads

The Danish youngsters of Iceage have been the subject of furious attention since tracks like “Broken Bone” and “White Rune” started making the rounds: Both are brutal, melodic punk songs in the tradition of Wire, as well as that of lesser-known Swedish D-beat standouts like Anti Cimex. At the risk of overstating the obvious, the group lives up to that early hype on its debut LP, New Brigade, a dark, soaring thrash of a record.
