Joey Baron, Robyn Schulkowsky and Tyshawn Sorey + Tyshawn Sorey Project

Tyshawn Sorey has made major waves in the jazz community over the past few years, due both to his blazing, futuristic drum chops and his staunchly enigmatic compositional vision. At 8pm, saxophonist Ingrid Laubrock and pianist Kris Davis join him in presenting music from a recent collective CD on Clean Feed, Paradoxical Frog, and new material. And at 10pm, Sorey lets fly with the two fellow percussionists in charge of booking the Stone this month.
