Johnny Colon and His Orchestra + Spanglish Fly + DJ Turmix

One of the things we love most about Le Poisson Rouge is the way it takes care to honor a storied previous occupant of its space: the Village Gate, home to countless jazzers and a hotbed for Latin-jazz hybrids. Tonight, LPR hosts a performance by salsa and boogaloo trombonist and bandleader Johnny Colon; in addition to raising funds for the East Harlem Music School, tonight's show is an intimate preview of Colon's summertime engagement outdoors at Lincoln Center.
