Lucy Shelton, a dynamic soprano well known and widely admired for her longtime advocacy on behalf of living composers, opens a three-concert series at Columbia University's Casa Italiana with a slate of works by Gabrielli, Harrison Birtwistle, Elliott Carter and others.
