Merzbow + MV Carbon and Philip White

Japanese-noise god Masami "Merzbow" Akita has been spewing forth hectic, harrowing soundscapes since before most of the leaders of the contemporary, No Fun Fest–affiliated noise scene were conceived. As harsh as some of his work is, though, the thing to remember about Akita is that he's a serious aesthete with a rock-solid grasp of art history, not to mention an animal-loving vegan. The opening set features Metalux member MV Carbon.
