Metropolis + Alloy Orchestra

Film buffs, take note: This version of Fritz Lang's science-fiction flick was discovered only two years ago and includes an extra 25 minutes of footage. The expressionist film was considered groundbreaking in its day, so it seems suitable that live musical accompaniment will be provided by the Alloy Orchestra, an experimental ensemble that uses found materials to compose original scores for silent films.
