Michael Blake World Time Zone

Michael Blake is one of the local scene's gifted eclectics, a brash saxophonist who pens compositions that veer sinuously from straight-ahead jazz to the more off-kilter variety, with meaningful perambulations through Vietnamese and African styles. Tonight he's fielding a new unit, World Time Zone, with a pair of longtime collaborators, bassist Ben Allison and pianist Frank Kimbrough, plus drummer Ferenc Nemeth.
