Pianist Garrick Ohlsson and conductor Herbert Blomstedt add a chapter to their long-standing partnership with a performance of Mozart's moody Piano Concerto No. 9, "Jeunehomme," written when the composer himself was a jeune homme (just 18 years old). But as far as over-the-top emotionality goes, young Mozart had nothing on mature Tchaikovsky; his heart-wrenching Symphony No. 5 comprises the rest of the program.
