Neosoul showcase series Sol Village presents onetime Nouveau Riche singer Nikki Jean, now celebrating her solo debut album, Pennies in a Jar. Its lead single, "Steel and Feathers (Don't Ever)," features Lupe Fiasco and Black Thought and was cowritten with Bob Dylan; other writers on the album include Carole King, Burt Bacharach, Lamont Dozier and apparently anyone else famous who's ever written a good song. Unsurprisingly, it's beguiling, romantic stuff.
