Nymph + Lycaon Pictus + Dome Theater

Imagine Ponytail, only darker, more cryptic and with an insatiable urge for the psychedelic, and you'll get a decent idea of what the highly impressive avant-rock group Nymph is throwing down. The band cites free-jazz guitar titan Sonny Sharrock as an influence, and actually succeeds in backing up the name check, conjuring ten-minute explosions of controlled chaos. Also on the bill is the local outfit Lycaon Pictus, whose creepy yet danceable postpunk should please Pere Ubu devotees.
