Pelléas et Mélisande

Superstar conductor Simon Rattle makes his long-overdue debut at the Metropolitan Opera with Debussy's shadowy, melancholy tale of star-crossed lovers, in a production by Jonathan Miller. Stéphane Degout plays Pelléas opposite the Mélisande of Magdalena Kozena, Rattle's frequent collaborator and real-life partner. Felicity Palmer, Gerald Finley and Willard White complete a top-flight cast.
