Priestbird + Family Band + Skeletons Big Band

The self-titled effort from the dark, Romantic art-rock band Priestbird—formerly Tarantula A.D.—hits epic strides, but overall, sounds a bit laborious. Still, the group puts on a nearly spiritual spectacle live, with pretty melodies that culminate in distorted power chords and experimental violin chaos. Today the band takes its talents to Jelly's new outdoor venue, the Rock Yard. Also on the bill are avant-rockers Skeletons Big Band.
